What is a Registry?
In it's simplest term, a registry is a central database of information. It is meant, in this case, to centralize information about the S-Code Mustang in database form. By centralizing this information, we can turn it around to each other in searchable form. As long as we are collecting the appropriate information, this registry will be a useful tool to members and visitors of this site. However, we need information to make this Registry work. If you own an S-Code Mustang, please register now! If you are not comfortable with working through the computer to make your registration, please email us. We will help you do it through email or regular mail.
What differentiates this site from other Mustang Registries?
1. Our devotion to all S-Code Mustangs. 1967, 1968, and 1969 were the years that Ford produced the S-Code 390-4V Mustangs. In a sense, they are all brothers and sisters so there's no need to separate their pedigrees. Let them all live as one here at SCodeMustang.com. Our search features give the user the ability to separate them as they wish.
2. Our authenticity requirements. Yes, we ask for authenticity from you and it makes it a little more difficult to get your S-Code in here. But the better way to think about that is how much better the representative data will be in the end. If we were to allow unverified build options, we would not have an accurate base from which to report on. Other sites allow this to happen without verifying the true characteristics of the car.
3. Our searchable database of members S-Code data. Let's say you want to find other S-Code's that were painted the same color green as yours. You can do that here as soon as we have more information available. Let's say you are interested in finding a list of Mustangs whose build dates are between certain date codes for your model year and by factory. This would be sorted by either scheduled build date or actual build date. Wouldn't it be interesting to converse with other members whose Mustangs are very similar in build to yours?

Why do you require a Marti/Ford 999 report for registration?
We require a Marti report because it shows the integrity of your Mustang build. We also accept the Ford 999 report that is free of charge. Call 1-800-392-3673 to order. If we did not require this, we would end up with many incorrect facts regarding the build information of these Mustangs. The Marti/Ford 999 report provides a good base of information to filter...even if some of it was incorrect from the factory.
The standard report from Marti is only $17 and can be rush ordered! Order it here!. It gives you all the information you need here and is worth it if you have an S-Code Mustang. Get it, take a picture of it and send it to us. You can also make a copy of it and send it to us in the mail (see 'Contact Us' for our mailing address). When we receive it, your membership will be activated.

Will my VIN and personal information be kept private and secure?
Your VIN and personal information will never be displayed on this website. Review our members pages and you will not see a vin displayed in text or in any photo.
We want to know about your S-Code here. Build facts, how you obtained it, what you plan to do with it, special features, etc. That's it.

What qualifies as an S-Code Mustang in your registry?
The S stamping on the 5th digit of your vin is all that is required. This is not a site to register S-Code clones. It is a site to register all S-Code Mustangs regardless of what characteristics they possess today. If you have a 302 in it, that's fine as long as it was an original S-Code Mustang.
How do I figure out the code for scheduled and actual build dates?
The code is an alphanumeric three digit code. The first two characters are always numbers. They represent the day of the month. For example, the code 14F would translate to the 14th day of the month. The last character represents the month. This one is a little more tricky. Look at the charts below to reference what month your Mustang was built based on what year you have.
